Job Description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Copywriter to develop engaging, sales-driven copy for retail marketing initiatives. This role will be instrumental in shaping impactful narratives that bring the brand to life across in-store, promotional, and digital retail channels. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a deep understanding of brand voice, retail strategy, and customer engagement. Working closely with designers, production teams, and key stakeholders, you’ll take projects from concept to completion, ensuring all deliverables align with brand standards and marketing objectives. *Please note, this position is an ongoing contract position, 40 hours weekly, hybrid, onsite 3 days a week in the downtown Philadelphia area.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-impact copy for retail formats including eCommerce, in-store signage, promotional materials, seasonal campaigns, and digital content.
• Own projects from concept through final delivery, maintaining alignment with brand voice, tone, and strategic objectives.
• Translate brand messaging into compelling narratives across multiple formats and channels.
• Collaborate with designers, production, studio, and cross-functional partners to execute campaigns effectively.
• Ensure every piece of copy meets brand clarity, retail strategy, and marketing goals.
• (Bonus) Contribute to video scripting or multimedia content if applicable.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional copywriting experience, stemming from within retail, marketing, or advertising.
• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in creating compelling, results-driven copy.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven ability to adapt brand voice across multiple platforms and audiences.
• Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• Strong portfolio showcasing in-store, promotional, and digital retail channels samples.
• Experience with large-scale brand marketing in retail or consumer-focused industries.
• Familiarity with light video scripting and multimedia content creation.
• Knowledge of retail promotional strategies and in-store marketing trends.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule, onsite 3 days a week in the downtown Philly area.
