Industrial Refrigeration Systems Technician job at Americold Warehousing Gloucester, MA, US

Job Description

Your role as an Industrial Refrigeration Systems Technician will have you overseeing the systematic upkeep of our state-of-the-art refrigeration units.

Core Responsibilities:

Execute maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on refrigeration systems.
Monitor and troubleshoot any operational irregularities.
Replace components within the system using LOTO safety procedures and abiding by the PSM framework.
Evacuate refrigerants during necessary equipment maintenance.
Conduct routine and advanced maintenance on warehouse machinery as per OSHA guidelines.
Employ diagnostic tools to test and calibrate HVAC equipment.
Ensure that completed projects meet blueprint and safety requirements.
Employ troubleshooting methods for diagnosing and solving equipment issues.
Regularly test safety functions to maintain compliance with OHSA standards.
Document preventive maintenance procedures in the CMMS System.
Ensure tools and work areas are organized and well-maintained.
Flexible to work varying shifts and undertake additional tasks as needed.

Educational Background and Experience:

High school diploma or GED.
Two or more years in Industrial Refrigeration Maintenance.
Alternatively, three years in Industrial Maintenance along with industry certifications.
Mandatory completion of Industrial Refrigeration training programs.
Proficiency with HAZMAT protocols and certification.
Experience with Oracle's CMMS system is advantageous.

Preferred Skills:

Cold Storage environment expertise.
Experience with ammonia refrigeration.
Prestigious CARO and CIRO certifications.
Ability to conduct component-level diagnostics and recommendations.
Share insights and mentor fellow technicians to enhance team knowledge.

Proficiency in both Refrigeration Systems and specialized Ammonia Refrigeration Systems is essential.

Relevant machinery includes advanced Refrigeration and Cooling Units.
